About Auxilia
In 1992, graduates of the Lebanese University medical school founded a group to address the many challenges posed by the socio-economic situation caused by 15 years of civil war across Lebanon.
In 1993, Auxilia was formally registered as a non-profit charitable organization.
Auxilia’s objectives
- Maintain family unity after the loss of the breadwinning parent and thus avoid having children placed in orphanages
- Train and educate mothers and help them find employment
- Launch humanitarian programs that provide monthly support to unprivileged children and their families
- Strengthen and support Auxilia’s presence in villages through medical awareness campaigns and food aid programs
- Provide children with a proper education, enabling them to set and achieve goals and succeed in life.
Auxilia’s Sponsorship Program
Auxilia’s Sponsorship Program covers the three basic elements every child needs for a healthy and balanced life: food, medical care and education. Priority is given to the most unprivileged on our waiting list. Our social assistants help filter applications.
Donations vary between $15 and $75 per month. They are applied as follows:
- Food allowance: $35
- Medical care: $15 and $18 under Auxilia’s Mutual Program
- Tuition fees: $60 to $75
For those who wish to make more substantial pledges, such contributions would only help Auxilia support more children and their families, and establish additional vital community projects.
Whatever your level of commitment, your generosity is greatly appreciated.
